Award Winning Architectural Illustration

Stantiall's Studio Ltd is awarded a Juror Award 2013 in the International Competition of Digital and Traditional Architectural Illustration, Architectural in Perspective (AIP) 28.

We are honoured to have received this award for the image of Kinloch Club from the esteemed USA based watercolourist and one of three AIP Jurors, Michael Reardon, who commented that this was "An image that took my breath away!"

The illustration was commissioned by Patterson Associates.

Kinloch Club is situated in the northern end of Lake Taupo in New Zealand's North Island.
Currently being developed is a five star lodge and villa experience positioned on the crest of a hill overlooking a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. With expansive views out across rolling hills and the Great Lake, its romantic stone exterior wraps and protects two sociable courtyards arranged around large outdoor fireplaces. Planned opening in 2015.

The image was named in the top seven, chosen from a field of over 300 entries from thirteen countries.
The illustration will be part of the Architecture in Perspective 28 exhibition in San Francisco in October 2013.
Ian hopes to attend this and the international conference to personally accept this award.

The American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI) is an affiliate of the American Institute of Architects.

From the ASAI website - "Each year since 1986, ASAI has sponsored Architecture in Perspective, a juried international architectural delineation competition that has included work by the most accomplished contemporary architectural illustrators from around the world. The exhibition consists of approximately 60 pieces of artwork selected by a jury of respected professionals from the fields of architecture, illustration, journalism and design education. The exhibition travels to various venues throughout the U.S. and overseas."
